SYS Technology Debuts High Performance AMD-K6® III System
New Addition to Performance Series is a 450MHz PC Built Around High-Performance Processor

April 25, 1999 - In the race to build faster computers at lower prices, SYS Technology, has taken the lead with its new Sys Performance450A. This muscle machine is powered by a 450MHz AMD-K6 III processor that actually outperforms the Pentium® III.

Performance on the system is maximized by a 256K full speed L2 cache on the CPU and 512K L3 cache on the motherboard, along with 3DNow!™ technology and the Super7 platform with high-speed 100MHz processor bus that supports an accelerated graphic port (AGP).

As a robust multimedia machine, this unit reproduces rich sounds from twin Altec Lansing® ACS-44 speakers complete with subwoofer, a diamond Monster MX300 sound card, an awe inspiring Voodoo3 3000 from 3Dfx 16MB SGRAM handles both 2D and 3D graphics with ease. All this hardware along with a 56K V.90 WinModem with voice for faxing.

The Sys Performance 450A ships as a complete system. The computer itself is housed in a UL-approved Sys mid-tower ATX 230W P/S case with eight drive bays. Combining the high powered AMD K66III at 450MHz with 128MB installed SDRAM (1024MB max), a 14.4G 7200rpm hard drive from IBM®, a state-of-the-art Hitachi GD2500 4.8X DVD CD-ROM and the Windows® 98 operating system, this system flies. And to complete this high-performance system is a 17" (15.8" viewable) Sys monitor.
