Privacy & Security

Privacy

SYS Technology's privacy policy is to fully respect and accommodate the privacy interests of visitors to this website. Unless involved in placing an order, requesting a quotation, or sending us email for technical support, feedback, or other reasons, SYS neither receives nor captures data regarding individual website visitors. This website utilizes cookies in order to provide minor page browsing enhancements. We do not use cookies to gather personal information in individual or aggregate form. We do not sell or otherwise provide any information supplied by you to third parties. However, we do reserve the right to send marketing-related email communications to you if you have not opted-out. If you would prefer not to recieve marketing-related email communications, please unsubscribe.

The only information we have of your visit is aggregated in periodic statistical reports. That information is primarily aggregated at page and domain levels. We receive information regarding referring URLs—places from which you linked to us (e.g. a PC World article or a listing from a particular search engine). We also receive information, again in aggregate, as to where visitors are from (state and country) and the operating systems and browsers used by visitors. Finally, this site activity information is summarized by server, session, page view, and time spent.

Security

SYS' policy is to secure order data by using an SSL server certificate provided by a third party secure transmission and authentication service, Comodo Certification Authority (CA), a Comodo Group company. We employ one of Comodo's 128 bit InstantSSL server certificates--the strongest encryption available for Internet e-commerce. Please visit their website to learn more about that product and the security provided by it. Please note that, when accessing Checkout pages, the page address changes to start with "https" and a locked padlock (or similar icon) appears on the status bar at the bottom of Internet Explorer, Netscape, and other SSL-compliant browsers. These are indications that you are on a secure page. You can double-click on the locked padlock icon (or similar icon) to view the status of our SSL server certificate.

We also provide the option of going offline to provide your credit card data over the phone. In the spirit of full disclosure, please understand that, even if you use this offline option, we will process your credit card orders through an online virtual terminal—an Internet connection to our credit card processor. If you are still uncomfortable, we will be happy to receive your pre-payment by personal check or cashier's check. However, such manual processing requires that the check clear the banking system before we ship your merchandise.

If you have any questions regarding our privacy or security policies, please send us email.
