Sys Sweeps PC World's ChartsAgain!
PC World
October 2000
In
PC World's October issue, Sys again covers all
the bases with solutions on the "Top 10 Budget PCs",
"Top 10 Midrange PCs", and "Top 10 Power PCs" charts"again"
as in the same thing happened in the September issue.
The value-class SYS TaskMaster 600D (AMD Duron 600MHz)
system is new to the charts in October, the other systems
carry over from prior reviews. "Standard stuff" from
the SYS TaskMaster 600D review, "Powered by AMD's new
budget Duron processor, this 600-MHz TaskMaster earned
a score of 159 on our PC WorldBench 2000 tests--higher
than the score recorded by a similarly configured Pentium
III-600 PC and close to the average for PIII-733 systems."
Actually that substantially understates the system's
performanceit was 14% faster than the next fastest
system and 32% faster than the average of the other
nine systems.
