PC Magazine begins its brief narrative, "Before you even boot the SYS Performance 2800, you knows it's something special..." The review goes on, "the extra touches like the large LCD, great speakers, and notable upgradability make this a well-rounded system." The reviewer rated the system 50.3 out of 60 on multimedia performance, one of the highest ratings received by any of the 16 systems reviewed.
